good venue, with good food, followed by a first class show it was unbelievable value!
Our compare for the evening was magical funny man Wayne Goodman. Those who attended his highly enjoyable lecture at the circle knew that he would be a real tonic, keeping the event moving along and of course making us laugh. Then Our compare introduced “Romany”
For many of us, Romany was the draw and star of the show , As she had done with Jonathan Ross, and Penn and Teller, on TV’s Fool Us she had the audience eating out of the palm of her hand. Using a combination of music, humour, storytelling and outrageous behaviour she was able to bring the magic to life in a very unique performance.
Andrew Green was the final act he was a more traditional illusion show. It is something we don’t see a lot of at our meetings due to a number of factors, so it was nice to see it here. But it wasn’t just sub trunks and Big boxes, there was a lovely card effect and some very interesting D’light productions. A fascinating and enjoyable act. We understand that Andrew is soon to be moving to North Wales, and we are hoping he will join our club in due course .
So as next year will be our clubs 75th year please put the date for the 2017 Dinner Show in your diaries now. it’s not to be missed. it’s booked already for the 18th of November 20 17 we hope to see all our members and attending.
